Every evening is a party when I prepare the food
Some of this and some of that to put you in the mood
Although it can get boring with the normal choice of meat
Sometimes I have a brilliant idea, it really becomes a treat
I discovered a cucumber in the fridge and I served it with a sauce
I sliced it, added spice, but peeled it first of course
Roast beef was at the store, so I bought some sauce tartare
Now the party is complete, with some pickles in a jar
Take your places at the table, relax and be at ease
Oh, do not forget I also found a piece of very good cheese
