Cee’s Fun Photo Challenge:Smiles

Registry Office Wedding Solothurn, Oliver and Franzi

I suppose you do not get married every day in the Swiss registry office, so my son (2nd from right) decided to make the most of it. I do not know what they were all laughing at, but it must have been fun (Mr. Swiss, second row in the middle 🙂  ).

Dad's 100th Birthday

Dad on his 100th birthday last September.  I know he really enjoyed that day.

  1. There are often good reasons to smile. You found three great ones. I’m sure your dad is smiling at you right now. Is your dry sense of humor inherited from him? That smile seems to say that it is.

  2. Your dad was the younger 100-year-old guy I’ve ever seen. My first mother in law lived to 104 and I swear she looked 120 when she was 75. It’s nice when a happy event brings out the smiles. Genuine smiles. Rare enough.

    • Dad never changed a lot for me, as his daughter. I just noticed in the last 10 years that he was looking older, but he never had mental problems. Of course, he would forget things, but he was there until the end, knowing exactly what was going on around him. My mum was a different case. She passed away at the age of 74, I noticed things were going downhill with her.
