“What a wonderful night for a party.”

“It certainly is Dracky. How many years is it now?”

“Today I celebrate 500 years undead.”

“And you still look as fresh as the day you bit me.”

“It runs in the family, we were all good preservers. All the boys will be celebrating with me, so I will have to dress the role. I even bought myself something new.”

“You are wearing that?”

“What’s wrong with it, the lady in the shop said that it’s the latest scream for parties.”

“But not a t-shirt with black letters on it saying “Supervampire” with red splodges. I thought we wanted to remain discreet.”

“All the youngsters are wearing them today, it’s the latest scream. One of them even tried to attack me on my way home from the market, he really looked genuine.”

“I hope he didn’t hurt you.”

“Of course not. He even had his last scream with me. He was very annoying and said I should visit the dentist to get my teeth fixed, so I bit him to show they were in perfect condition. I invited him to the party tonight, just to get him started in his new undead life: my undead birthday present for myself. Did you get enough drinks in.”

“I was lucky, they had a new delivery at the blood bank of type AB, at least 20 units.”

“That is ideal, the rarer the better. The boys will be impressed. I hope it doesn’t go to their their jugular veins. Since Mephistotpoles got a a night job at the hospital blood bank, we have some good connections.”

“Here is your present Dracky.”

“Oh how lovely, a new black training suit and black shoes to go with it in the shade of Newgates Knocker. I must go for a practice run tomorrow evening, the faster the better these days.   It will be much more comfortable than my black cloak, Not so much flapping around and the scarlet lining makes me too conspicuous. I will wear it this evening. We should be going soon, the bats are waiting outside to carry us away.”

“Are we gong to the crypt again Dracky.”

“Of coure Morticia, you remember, our first date and I must say for your 499 years 11 months undead you are so well preserved.”

“Oh Dracky, I remember it so well, I was your first victim, it was a wonderful experience.”

“Yes the first are always the lucky ones. It take longer because I was a beginner and had to find the right vein, but practice makes perfect.  You were such a dainty young woman, and still are and looking for that vein was a vampire’s dream come true.”
