Would you believe that we still have some of these performing?! They were still rather pretty when we needed to replace them with petunias, so we pulled them up and plugged them into shadier spots out of the way. If they succumb to the warmth, it will be no problem. If they continue to bloom, that would be just fine.

Here they are planted as seeds and flower in Autumn. In Spring they flower again, as one of the first blooms

So they are another one that somehow survives those very cold winters. That is impressive. I know nothing about such cold weather. It seems to me as anything that delicate would not survive.

Pansies are sold as a flower for late Autumn and early Spring

Ours get planted in autumn as the warm season annuals finish, and they should last until spring. They are nice through winter, but get rather tired if the weather gets warm early in spring. This spring was very mild, so they lasted better than they normally do.
