Retired and Enjoying Every Minute of It
I am Ahmed Abdi, a Wordpress blogger and storyteller who searches for stories that inspire people. I love writing because it’s a reflection of how I perceive the world around me. Lost in a world of endless chaos in my childhood, Unforgettable moments of tragedy and triumphs taught me the art of storytelling where I found myself through letter writing and then turned into stories but then sadly had lost everything I wrote for years. In 2018, I decided to create a Wordpress blog site that would allow me to store and retrieve every piece. Stories from my community, city and people are what make my writing so interesting and inspiring! I’m a tea lover so a cup of tea sometimes makes my blog.

I am surprised that it grew from seed. I had problems growing it.

I love bleeding hearts, so beautiful, and somehow seeming a bit improbable whilst clearly present.

They are one of the first to flower in Spring. They grow quietly in a corner and suddenly add a splash of colour with their flowers

What a pretty flower! I’m not familiar with it. 😊

It is a perennial so remains in the garden and regrows every year.

My goodness …our bleeding hearts here on the East Coast USA bloom early in the spring. They are dormant by now. Yours appear just to be picking up stream. Wow …

The photo is from our Spring. Ours are also now dormant

There is a native species of bleeding heart. I had always thought that it was the same one that can be found in nurseries. However, there are so many specie, and the one in the nurseries is not the same as the native.

I don’t know a lot about them. They sell them in the stores in Spring here, but this one just started growing in my garden. My neighbour had one and I think a seed arrived in my garden

They used to be popular in nurseries here, but I have not seen them in a while. I sometimes see the native growing out in the forest, but they are not the same.
