  1. This picture got my attention. My ancestors owned a foundry near San Jose, which moved to Long Beach a long time ago. My uncle collected a few reproductions of Rodin and Brancusi sculptures that were made in his foundry. My great grandmother had a small sculpture hanging on the wall in the den that I had believed was something important like those in my uncle’s home. It was really just some molten aluminum that spilled out onto the concrete floor of the foundry. She just thought it looked interesting. My brother still has it.
