How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are? 

No idea. When you reach the age of 70 you are so glad to get there, that anything that was is no longer. I do not want to go to school again and learn. I do not even want to go to work and take orders from someone else. I do not want to meet Mr. Right and go through bringing up the kids all over. I am 70, I met Mr. right 50 years ago and it suits me. Just take away the bad health and I am happy as I am.

So, you’re on your way out and it’s raining. Do you know where your umbrella is or do you frantically search for it all over your apartment/house?

Umbrella? Do I have one? There is probably one somewhere, but if I hold an umbrella it means that one hand is occupied. I need a hand free for my cane when I go out, and before I needed a cane I needed a free hand for carrying a shopping bag. And if the free hand is needed for something else, then the umbrella will not be wanted. No umbrellas for me, they are in the way. I have a hood on my jacket and otherwise I am in the car, parked in a covered car park and walk through a covered path until I get to the supermarket. If I am just visiting someone, the walk will not be more than a few meters, so I will not need an umbrella. Yes, I am allergic to umbrellas, they get in the way. And I have such short hair, it will make no difference if it gets wet.

Do you recharge your energy by going out with friends for a good time or by spending with quiet time alone?

I have MS and there is no way to recharge anything. By giving myself injections every second day, I can slow down the effects and that is all I can do. So I do not overdo things with having a good time. If I go anywhere it is for a meal to celebrate something or the other. The last time was my 70th birthday. Otherwise I like to sit, read, or be at my computer. I like to take a walk in the country. Where I live is wonderful, near a river, near the forest and am surrounded by wild life, trees and flowers. And my regular after dinner sleep helps me to recharge the batteries. What could be better. And of course I have a camera with me most of the time. Mr. Swiss is a great help for me. He is also a golden oldie and we still enjoy our company together. He does his thing, I do mine, and that is wonderful.

Name three things you and your spouse, partner or best friend  to have in common.

We are both cyber golden oldies.
We agree to disagree.
We are complete opposites and that is fun.

What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up? 

I do not do grateful. Some things are good and others not so good. Last week son No. 2 paid us a visit and yesterday he arrived again with my daughter-in-law. Son No. 2 has an appartment where he works about half an hour away, but otherwise they have a house in another part of Switzerland. I will become grandmother in early September, which I am looking forward to.

This week I have nothing planned, which suits me fine. It is the unplanned weeks that I look forward to.
