I often wonder what sort of butterfly it will eventually turn into.
And the green plastic net screamed at the spotted woodpecker, come and eat.

I refreshed my knowledge of the local town of Solothurn today. I had an appointment with the medicine man and Mr. Swiss was my chauffeur. It was quite a pleasant day. I also took the opportunity to refresh my wardrobe. There is only one lady’s clothing shop in our town that stocks expandable sizes for ladies whose form tends to get pulled towards the south as they grow older, it is also the only shop where I can buy “off the peg”.
Yes the clothing industry are going through hard times. It seems that due to the online opportunities no-one really bothers to visit a shop and buy clothing and the shops are suffering from this. I was unhappy to read that the family owning my favourite clothing shop are forced to close the shop but on the other hand I realised there would be a sale.
Whilst I was at the doctors Mr. Swiss had been in the supermarket and thanks to the fact that we are both equipped with an iPhone I called him when I was finished and we met in town. There was a band playing sort of opera overtures outside the clothes shop and the assistant told me that listening to their music all day was becoming quite nerve wrecking. By the way sorry for the fleshy smudge on the top right corner of the photo, but that is my thumb which sort of got in the way – one of the disadvantages when you take a quick shot with your phone.
I managed to buy two pair of my favourite stretchy trousers 30% cheaper and so I decided to throw a couple of designer t-shirts in to make the visit worthwhile. Unfortunately the t-shirts were not reduced in price, but I bought them in any case. You can never have too many t-shirts, and the choice has to be regularly refrshed of course.
We got into a conversation with the lady that served us. She has been in the shop for many years, and we said what a shame that the shop was closing, as it is really the only shop that sells sizes for the larger lady. She said she knows, but she now has to find a new job somewhere and at the age of 58 that will not be easy. It seems everyone has their problems.
I had quite a long examination at the doctors and I think he really got on my nerves, but I suppose that it is his job being a neurologist. He was asking all sorts of silly questions. It was my first visit, so I suppose he wanted to know what he was dealing with. It was when he asked “how is it with sport” and I was suddenly silent but then gave a return question “What’s that?”. it was then quite clear for the doc that I had my own ideas of living a life of fitness. Anyhow I have another appointment next week, something in a tube to see if my nerves are frayed at the ends.
I am not in a very refreshed mood today, probably because I had to shorten my midday sleep by at least 30 minutes to fit in all my afternoon appointments. Will be back tomorrow, at a my normal time, same place.
I hope not as sour as that lot above in the photo, but I suppose every cloud, even in the computer world, has its silver lining. First of all it is the day to change the bed linen, which I almost forgot. It is a communal job and we split it 50:50 although I must admit one of the 50’s is bigger than the other and I don’t do it. Thankyou Mr. Swiss.
Next: when all is done with the breakfast the cleaning programme arrives and today I have a few extras. All being well I can begin to cook some time in the morning and in the afternoon I have one of those doctor visits. Thank goodness our doctors keep to the time and I will not have an hour to wait until he sees me (thinking of the National Health Service in the UK with which I am fighting a battle at the moment for the neglect shown to my 100 year old dad who fell out of the wheelchair when he arrived at the ambulance).
At some time today I will be finished with everything knowing I can take a deep breath of relief and take it easy until the beginning of next week and will no longer have to take a bite into the sour fruit.
Have a good day everyone and remember it can only get better. Perhaps there might be some apples and oranges on the way laced with chocolate.
All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain!

Retired and Enjoying Every Minute of It
I am Ahmed Abdi, a Wordpress blogger and storyteller who searches for stories that inspire people. I love writing because it’s a reflection of how I perceive the world around me. Lost in a world of endless chaos in my childhood, Unforgettable moments of tragedy and triumphs taught me the art of storytelling where I found myself through letter writing and then turned into stories but then sadly had lost everything I wrote for years. In 2018, I decided to create a Wordpress blog site that would allow me to store and retrieve every piece. Stories from my community, city and people are what make my writing so interesting and inspiring! I’m a tea lover so a cup of tea sometimes makes my blog.
