Cee’s Odd Ball PhotoChallenge: 2016 Week 26

Baselstrasse 22.06 (1)

You are on your way home from a shopping excursion to the supermarket, a quiet side road to our village where we also have a local train. The traffic lights in the photo are for when the train crosses the road and we all have to stop. However, this time there was a different problem. To the right of the road there is a pasture for horses. It seems that the farmer was having a horse delivery, or was this truck organised to pick up the horses? Who knows? The problem was that the small road on the right was not wide enough to allow the truck to pass and so there we were, the second in a long row of cars wanting to carry on. The guy driving the truck (a dutch truck) climbed out to have a closer look and we were still waiting. And then the train was approaching, thank goodness. No-one stops the train and so eventually, with a few complicated manoevres the chauffeur backed the truck out and we continued.

A house was being demolished in the village. I took a walk and made a few photos. This seems to be an electric board, no longer needed, with various fuse boxes and other strange objects. I could call it “a composition in electricity”.

    • I am not really sure if it contained horses, or was picking them up. A long journey from Holland to Switzerland for a few horses. Generally the dutch trucks bring bulbs and other plants.
Good idea about the electrical stuff, must have a look and see if it is still there.
