I have been surrounded by machines over the past weeks, so what could be better than to take some photos. This crane was parked in my back yard for a morning.
And these are the pylons belonging to our local mountain railway cars where the cables are all hooked up.
And I saw this little hedgehog in the local store, just asking for a photo.

If I take a train ride then the camera comes as well and if I am on a train I love to take photos of the graffiti that are sprayed on the walls by the railway lines. This was the Zürich-Schaffhausen rail connection.
This caught my eye on the road in Schaffhausen. Where was the rest of the fish – who knows. I think it was just a clever design.
And this building was in the middle of a field. I do not have a clue what it is, some sort of weather station perhaps, but it breaks up the monotony.

Window cleaning is not always an easy job.
And demolition can be interesting when you have to feed the crane with material.
Mr. Swiss once lived here many years ago.

There is a story by the brothers Grimm, The Bremen Town Musician, where a mixture of animals decide to make music. I think the local garden center was showing his animals as a sort of publicity trick. There is a mule, a dog, a snail, a chicken and I think I can also see the model of a rabbit – an odd mixture. They always follow us with their eyes when we drive past.
A strange construction at the top of a scaffolding (not our scaffolding this time).
A parking space for the kids.

I think this poor bird was really feeling down when I saw him sitting in the shop window.
The things you see as I was tsking a walk around our estate. Perhaps it was a photographer’s eye looking for something completely different. But someone had decided that this was defnitely not a pumpkin fit to be turned into a coach for Cinderella. At least the slug was happy to find it.
A book case on the side of the river bank in Solothurn. It was not even locked but open for everyone. You need a book to read? Help yourself. You have a book you no longer need, then put it in the book case. It is there for everyone in town.

I visited Solothurn, Switzerland, our local town yesterday morning. It was at least a year since I had the time to look around and take time for photos. I just had to take this guy’s photo, he was definitely an odd ball.
You can work that one out for yourself. We live in a building zone at the moment and when I looked up into the scaffolding last week, I saw two heads looking down. One even had a flame thrower in his hand.
I love benches, I know where each one is to find in my area. They are a walking necessity for my cane and I. I loved the way the sun was playing with this one.

One of those street sculptures I pass every time we drive to the supermarket. It is situated outside a bank.
I liked the way the shadow of the traffic light was caught in the mirror also with a reflection of the mirror – an odd ball 🙂
An UFO landed in a wheatfield and left skid marks behind. That is my explanation and I am sticking to it.
