These are cool season annuals for us, although they are technically perennials. Ours have bloomed for a few years. They die back and get overwhelmed by other annuals when the weather gets warm and dry.

They are perrenials here but over the years their colours tend to fade and they get smaller

They might revert to a more genetically stable state, which is more like their ancestors were in the wild.

Everyone’s garden is growing but mine. I hope we have not lost the whole thing. Well, at least we still have rhododendrons.

I hope so, but we should have at least crocus by now and the early shoots for daffodils. There’s absolutely NOTHING yet. And it isn’t because it’s too cold. It’s actually quite comfortably warm outside.
