The center of that flower almost looks undersea to me–strange flowers which I know you like–I never see them anywhere else.

Protea are always good for a surprise

This is also Protea magnifica/Queen protea – there are quite a variety of colours: http://pza.sanbi.org/protea-magnifica: In nature the colour range of the outer floral bracts is broad, including greenish cream, cream, pink, salmon pink, rosy reds and deep carmine. The bract beards are variable in colour and density. They may be white, purple-black or tawny brown with the central tip being black, tawny brown or even white.
