I found pansies in my photos: not the spectacular big bold faced pansies, but the small cheeky glaring pansies peeping through the leaves. They have no smile on their faces, I think they are laughing at me, but I love them all the same.

Retired and Enjoying Every Minute of It
I am Ahmed Abdi, a Wordpress blogger and storyteller who searches for stories that inspire people. I love writing because it’s a reflection of how I perceive the world around me. Lost in a world of endless chaos in my childhood, Unforgettable moments of tragedy and triumphs taught me the art of storytelling where I found myself through letter writing and then turned into stories but then sadly had lost everything I wrote for years. In 2018, I decided to create a Wordpress blog site that would allow me to store and retrieve every piece. Stories from my community, city and people are what make my writing so interesting and inspiring! I’m a tea lover so a cup of tea sometimes makes my blog.

They certainly look determined

I love these, especially when they grow naturally. Lately in the US they plant them outdoors in the coldest winter and expect them not to die immediately, and it seems so unkind to the poor things.

For us it is something to plant in Autumn. They remain during Winter in the garden and begin to flower again as one of the first in Spring.

For us, the landscapers, many of whom do not know their job and simply use it to make money while not being qualfied to do anything else, sadly, plant them blooming outside in winter, then pull them out when they die from exposure. It is very unwise, I think.

We’ve had such an insane warm winter that mine never really went away. 🙂 Tough little guys!

Here they are the last to flower in Autumn and the first in Spring. If we have a mild Winter, they might stay around longer

We know these as violas, but I think they are just pansies with small flowers.

Yes, nothing special but very pretty

Nothing special? I think that is what I like about them. Pansies are rather flashy and can look too fancy in the wrong situations.
