FOWC with Fandango: Timid

I am too old for getting timid now. I live on my own, my son is there in the evening and I have to deal with everything myself. I think this fly was probably more timid than I was. I always have a fly swatter near and most do not survive. The door to my appartment is never locked. day and night. I am more timid of falling and being locked in my home. There are always risks, but you have to assess them as what is worst.

I have no money at home, I live on plastic and for that you need a code. After being alone since Mr. Swiss left for his golden oldie home, timid is now something in the past. I sometimes miss it being so quiet. I live in a little village and during the night I hear nothing. Even a little excitement can be interesting.

RDP Thursday: Insomnia

My bedside cupboard is prepared: my iPad, my Kindle and the space is for my iPhone, although I needed the iPhone to take the photo, so it is no there. However, these are always ready to help with insomnia. Actually no great problem, I am a golden oldie, have no dringend business to deal with, only perhaps a visit to where most of us go during the night, but that little roome is just next door, so no problem. If I cannot sleep, then bad luck, but it is not great problem. Tomorrow is also a day and regularly after my small lunch at midday I return to my bed and sleep 1-2 hours which compesates for a few hours lost during the night. If life get boring in the night I can always take a quick look on my iPhone, order a few online groceries on my iPad which I forgot or read in my Kindle in my book, although that would be a last resort. The fly swatter is there in the case that I might be bothered by one of the flying pests, but that almost never happens. In Autumn I have a liquid deterrent for the mosquitos plugged into the current, so that is no longer a bother.

Insomnia happens, but not chornic and I can always compensate during the day. Last night I slept quite well. I usually retire about 9.00 in the evening and sleep for a couple of hours until my first night visit to the little room next door.Yesterday was quite rare, I slept from 9 pm until 5.00 in the morning. I take no tablets to sleep.
