There was a time when it was common to see someone with a mask. It was not the smell that could disturb, but more what you did not smell. Virus and germs have no smell, Perhaps that would have made it a little easier. It was covid time, an invisible germ that would infect. Somehow it did not like me, it avoided me so I was one of the lucky ones.
Yesterday I had to go to the hospital urgently. It is difficult to find a doctor at the moment due to the holidays, but you can always call in at the emergency room in the hospital, although be prepared to wait a few hours, which happened to me. I had one of my bladder infections again, but by the time I saw the doc it had almost disappeared. There were many waiting, Broken legs, screaming children and many pairs of golden oldies. I was alone, but still had to wait. Eventually I saw the doc, a young lady. Actually she was almost too good, and I think she wanted to revolutionize the treatment. She said no antibiotics, but pain killers. My infection needed to have a culture to get to the root of the cause. I should have waited another hour for the result, but I told her to forget it. We had a few words, although I am not a doctor. The best was, she was right. She saw that my problem was not worth a thorough medical treatment with antiboitics and to be quite honest, the painkillers did the trick. I am now feeling OK, but she will be sending the results of the analysis to my doctor, although I do not think I will be making medical history.
Anyhow, thanks to my wonderful neighbour and her husband, they dropped me off at the hospital and picked me up again. It was certainly an interesting experience, spending four hours in the hospital amongst the ambitious patients, nurses and now and again you even saw a doctor. No pungent smells, it was all very clinically clean.

I’m glad you’re feeling better and I hope there will be no surprises when you get the test results back.
