FOWC with Fandango: Pester

I am never pestered, with the exception of unwanted stupid telephone conversations. Just a day ago I got a call from a lady (although lady was too good a description) telling me I had called last June (6 monhs ago) in connection with a crypto finance investment, although it was so unimportant I have forgottn exactly what she was talking about. Anyhow I told her she was talking “bullshit” and hung up the phone. Afterwards I blocked her number. I even contacted our police and they confirmed it was a scam. Of course I had no intention of believing the rubbish, I have a distinct allergy again all sorts of such connections.

I live alone, just with my son, and rarely have contact with others. However, I have a wonderful neighbour and she helps me a lot – a journey to the doctor or just contact with help. Today I was at last able to help her. Her freezer was not working, and it is now New Year Holidays and no-one works. However, the door to my laundry room is never locked and there I have my freezer chest. I told her to deposit her goods in my freezer, the door is always open and no problem. I was so glad I was able to help her. She has a family, with two children, and was so pleased to have a solution to her problem.

About an hour later I had a ring at my door bell. Something rare for me as I do not have many contacts. Her daughter had a plate of still warm pastries for me as a thankyou gift. It was really not necessary for me, I was glad to help, but it was a wonderful surprise and the pastries were so good. I stopped baking myself some time ago, since I now live alone. Such moments are wonderful in my isolation.

RDP Sunday: Tropical

In Switzerland there is not very much tropical involved. Snow and ice do not exist in the tropics and our vegetation is rarely anything in that connection. However, now and again we get a glimpse into tropical life in a zoo, or perhaps an exhibition-

In this case there was a collection of various strange animals and here we have a typical tropical spider. Of course we have Swiss spiders, but nothing special and definitely not with hairy legs. Luckily they were all in cages to prevent any injuries to humans.
