Yesterday I was not here. There was a displacement and my world began to crumble. I order once a week online my groceries. For a weeks supply it can be quite a lot. I order on Tuesday to ensure my delivery slot for Friday morning. 98% it is no problem. However, this Friday there was a 2% problem. The goods come from the Swiss supermarket, Migros, The goods for the fridge are packed in a special bag with ice filled liter bottles to keep it fresh. Friday morning I noticed two bags with fresh goods in front of the entrance door, but they were empty except for the iced filled bottles. I decided they were part of the returned packs that had already been delivered. The post deliver the goods and they have their own system. About an hour later my delivery arrived. The guy left and I had the verious bags to unpack. It was then I realised that I only had the normal goods, and my meat and refrigerator goods were not delivered.

Naturally I called and after a couple of hours I got the news that no-one knew where my fresh goods were and they would be delivered on Monday morning. It was then I exploded on the phone and asked what I should eat over the week-end. He repeated his weak excuse and I got louder and more agressive. I told him I could not use goods delivered on Monday and they should pull their finger out and deliver for the week-end. I was then told I could cancel that part of the order. I would get a credit note for the goods already charged and paid for. I pay in advanced with my credit card. I exploded further and told him that I could not eat a credit note etc. etc. and he continued with his weak excuses so I hung up the phone.

Luckily it was good weather and so I got myself ready and embarked on a shopping trip to the grocery store to buy my missing goods. It was a successful shopping trip and I saved the day with my shopping and so son and I have our food for the week-end and next week. I also got my credit note. Being handicapped I need my online deliveries as it would be too much for me to get all the goods required myself. However, the positive side is that the grocery store is only five minutes away from where I live by scooter and yes, I met a few people I knew. However I was so devestated I no longer had the energy to write my blogs yesterday due to displaced groceries. Where my food was, no-one seemed to know. As said it was only the perishables that were not delivered, just two empty bags in front of the door.
