Everything is mainly in the distance in Switzerland, Usually because we constantly have high and low when going anywhere. This is a view from our little village into the distance. The hills you can see in the distance are the beginnings of the Bernese Overland where you later arrive at the mountains. Again in the height so you can see into the distance again. Of course you need a clear day. When the clouds arrive then your view in the distance is no longer.
Today I said goodbye to my hair which had been growing for many years. In a snip of a few seconds it was gone. My hairdresser, who is also a good friend, lives on our estate and although she still works in a saloon for three days a week, she otherwise does the necessary at home. I am glad as visits to a saloon are for me now a little complicated with my walker and to get there with my scooter. However, she has everything organised and one hour later I had my long hair replaced with a crew cut, in grey. I had been planning on it for some time. I decided at the age of 80 it was time to have a “short back and sides” and I will keep it that way, planning on a two monthly visit. My No. 1 son still recognised me luckily. I just wonder how many in my friend’s circle will still recognise me at a distance. My No. 2 son will be visiting with his family this week-end, and I will be visiting Mr. Swiss some time. Perhaps he will no longer recognise me.
