Now we have Summer, sonny days and being outside to enjoy them. We are all stuck inside in the sweltering heat from the sun: no rain, no cool breezes, and if you are a golden oldie as myself, you can be glad you are not surrering from a heat stroke. I have never known such a Summer as this. Many speak of 1976, which I remember, although the main problem then was no rain, but the heat was manageable. The only bright light on the horizon is that apparently next week, on Monday, the rains come down again, and also on Tuesday, although that does not suit me. I have work then as our garage in the house will be cleaned, and we must remove all our vehicles from the garage. I only have two mobile scooters, but I will have to drive them out of the garage to a dry place – they do not like rain. Than means leaving my bed and showering at 7.00 a.m.
At least it will be wet again – no sun and no heat – I hope.
Love this song since my erliest childhood, because I know the German version of 1959 sung by Dalilda from a single record my parents had in their collection.
Maybe, you’ll like it, too:

Living most of my life in Switzerland, I also know Dalida quite well and also this version of the song.

A song I know from my younger years. The French version is also quite good

A song that becomes popular in many languages has to be good!

Hope you will be singin’ in the rain soon. Or if you can’t, then at least play the track when it rains 🌧️

Not quite yet. We will have to wait until Monday it seems. At the moment it is 35°. I have never known it to be so hot.
