If only the sun would abate. We need a few large grey clouds to hide it and then everything would be another normal Summer, but this Summer is not normal. I am 80 years old, but have never in my lifetime had such a hot sunny Summer. I go to bed in the evening and just hope that when I awake the next morning we will have again normal European weather: even a few rain clouds would be great. Our weather prophets tell us this curse will be with us until next week and on Monday it seems there might even be rainy day, and temperatures will be reduced from 37° C back to a normal something with a 2 in front of the number and not not this eternal 3 whatever.

Europe has taken our sunshine this summer. We’re having cooler temps, clouds and frequent rains this month. Which is okay with us– vegetation is a beautiful green here on the prairies. Now, as long as it doesn’t keep on raining every few days.

You can have your sunshine again. We have had enough in Europe, but have now been promised rain next week on Monday and Tuesday – at last.
