FOWC with Fandango: Covert

I would be happy when our local railway would not hide everything from us. The railway is ever present, always there even if you do not use it. It is on my path to everywhere. When they are doing their maintenance, in this case laying new railway tracks, it seems to be a big secret. Noter the dust clouds scaused by the work. They do the work when the train is not running, generally duting the night and on Sunday.

So if I want to visit Mr. Swiss in his Golden Oldie home it can get a little complicated as I have to cross the tracks on my way home. However there is a guy stationed in the middle of the road and if I make enough noise, like calling in a loud voice, he actually hears me and turns and sees I am there. He then goes into action and stops the traffic – just for me on my scooter. I feel quite important when everything stops to allow me to cross the road. The machine on the photo is the one they use for laying the new rails. It seems my son went into town yesterday evening for his Saturday entertainment. On his way home in the early morning hours they were busy at work laying some new tracks. I will be glad when they are finished.
