We have all sorts of mustrooms growing here, probably because a river runs through it all, the Aar, an the ground remains damp – ideal for the schrooms. I saw this bunch growing a tree. One mustroom never really comes alone.

This one decided to grow in my garden.

Some might be posonous, but we have experts usually situated at the police station who know what would be good to eat or not. I remember once we had some at home which really looked good, so I took them along to the office to be sure. The guy told me they were a very good sort for eating. He also asked where I found them. I told him in a field near where I live. He said that was OK, but we should always ask if the field belonged to someone, not wanting to steal the good mushrooms.
