My latest book

I love reading, usually in the evening before I go to bed. Ghost stories, and mystery are my favourites. I have all my books in “https://www.goodreads.com/review/list/5450390?ref=nav_mybooks“

Murder at St Anne’s by J.R. Ellis

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

That was a good one. I just like books with a bit of a mystery and was guessing all the way whodunit. It was a bit of a fantasy story, but that is my taste.

    • I usually get the books from Amazon online,. They have a good choice. When I find a good author that writes a series, I usually eventually get through them all. I have belonged to Good Reads for some time now. It helps me keep track of my books.

      • I finally went an started to put authors (and their series’) into collections so I can at least FIND them. I’m very ordering in a lot of ways, but completely disordered for everything else. Minor chaos keeps me from tedium.

          • Some of the authors I follow are just very slow writers. The oldest ones used to turn out a book every 9 or 10 months. Now, it’s more like 1 to 2 years. And some have almost stopped writing. I guess even authors retire.

Did you ever find/discover Jodi Taylor’s “St. Mary’s” and “Time Police” series? All her book are very well researched, involved time travel, are witty and sometimes hilarious — AND she’s British, so you’ll recognize everything. They are REALLY good and there’s always a “mystery” plot underneath time traveling pods. I get them through Amazon, but they might also be in book stores too. We don’t have ANY bookstores locally anymore. We had two or three, but the prices were almost double the cost of buying online.

If you need links for these books, I could send them but they would be American links and I think you use different links from the continent.

          • I will try the series you mentioned. I like reading the novels from Britain. Many of areas, especially in the North, I have never visited, but I know they also have their charm. And the accents of the people are also interesting when you see them in print. London is naturally also interesting, but I know London as it was where I grew up.
