I was going to pass on this one as at the moment I have no great inspiration to say anything. A pass here in the German speaking part of Switzerland is the top of a mountain path and they all have their names and can also be quite difficult to pass through – very high and often narrow, but they are a great attraction for the rourist folk. The pass in the photo is in our town.
Today was another uneventful day. The biggest excitement is still slowly tranferring from one bank to another on the variouis “E-Sites”. For a 78 year old it is not easy. I made another phonecall to the helpline of my bank as today we had the notification that at the next week-end our money (if we have any) will be transferred from our old bank (which will no longer exist) to our new bank. Following the instructions I have now, I have already established the link on my phone, but now on the computer, although there is no information on it at the moment, but it is all set up and ready to go.
It will be seen next week if everything functions. My man at the bank is still enjoying his Autumn holiday and will be back only in the last week of October. I am waiting for him. They tell me at the bank when I call that if I have problems, I can always call in to sort them. I tell them there is no “calling-in” from me now. It is Winter, it might rain (or snow??) and then I stay at home. They said I cann arrange for the guy to visit me at home, which he might have to. This is not something I can pass, but one day it will be done – I hope. I just wonder how other golden oldies are managing this transfer. I know basically the workings of a computer and on-line business from my office days, but that is now 10 years ago. My main work today on a computer is paying a few bills, although I do most of it on the phone, and writing here.
Writing here is also no longer so much. With age comes loss of energy and my hands no longer do what they used to on the computer. Here I would add that perhaps, on day, my blog will be no more. I just continue while I can, but I am not getting any younger. It is the only spiitual exercise I have.
