The problem being that one mountain in Switzerland comes rarely alone, and is usually accompanied by a few others. This is a view of the Bernese Alps. Although a distance from us, about 1-2 hours drive by car, we have a good view on a clear day. In my youner days we would usually spend our summer holidays in the area, alternating between Grindelwald, Adelboden and Gstaad. We would spend the day hiking up the slopes, taking a packed lunch with us – Mr. Swiss, me and our two sons: sometimes our other two children would also accompany us. We would make a fire with sticks and stones, and toast our sausages over the flames. In the late afternnoon we would return to our chalet and evening was usually having a meal in one of the restaurants in the village where we were staying. Mountains were no longer something completely different as we were surrounded by them, but they were always something special.
Beautiful scenery ๐

Pat, this is a spectacular photo! Congrats. Iโm more of a water girl, HH however loves hiking and doing long walks (I call it hiking or galoppingโฆ.) in the mountains. So we have to get two conflicting issues to accommodate.

Glad you like it. We have a good view of the three giants from where we live, although quite far away: Jungfrau, Mรถnch and Eiger. My hiking days are now over, but there was a time when I really enjoyed it, especially as simple english person discovering the alps, although not really climbing, more Wanderung.
