Yes, we had a night of snow and this was the result. It is now melting, but slowly. At the moment we only have bare branches covered in this white stuff. However, no more snow and probably in a week there will be none.
I also appreciated our food delivery possibilties. Although – the present for the grandchild was cutting it fine. The parcel was ordered almost 4 weeks ago. I kept getting e-mails that pushed the delivery out more and more. It finally arrived on the 24th at 3pm – after all the shops were closed, e.g. it would have been too late for an alternative present. Puuuuhhh…
Basically I no longer celebrate Christmas except for my grandchildren and their presents are now financial with a money transfer. I can no longer travel so much for gift selections.
The internet is your friend — I mostly order. Although the oldest grandkid is now heavily into mangas and electronic games etc. and I have no idea what I am ordering, most of the time.
It is so beautiful. I live where it rarely snows, and one year, I went to Geneva, Switzerland alone to experience real snow. On the top of the French Alps, In a little town called Chamonix. France, I saw white-topped mountains for miles. I loved seeing snow that no human had tread on. I watched skiing in person for the first time and it was like watching ballet. But, I also was never so cold because I couldn’t imagine that kind of cold and was severely under-dressed. But, I never forgot that day because I was afraid of riding to the top of the mountain. But I found the courage and I was taught to never let my fears keep me from the mountaintop. I love your daily posts. Thank you for the joy they bring me and others.
Glad you enjoy the posts. Chamonix is quite well known for its skiing. I live in the flat lands in the middle of Switzerland, but we still get our fair share of snow. I do not like it so much, especially as I no longer as mobile as I was. I cannot ski, but my grandchildren can.
I am Ahmed Abdi, a Wordpress blogger and storyteller who searches for stories that inspire people. I love writing because it’s a reflection of how I perceive the world around me. Lost in a world of endless chaos in my childhood, Unforgettable moments of tragedy and triumphs taught me the art of storytelling where I found myself through letter writing and then turned into stories but then sadly had lost everything I wrote for years. In 2018, I decided to create a Wordpress blog site that would allow me to store and retrieve every piece. Stories from my community, city and people are what make my writing so interesting and inspiring! I’m a tea lover so a cup of tea sometimes makes my blog.

I’m so jealous! Even a little snow is wonderful at Christmas.
