RDP Wednesday: Hatch

This girl was once hovering on my cupboard in the garden. She seemed to be carrying a great weight, which was her egg sack. I do not know what sort of spider this is, but now and again we see them in the garden. When the egg hatches, the tiny spirders are everywhere and mum even looks after them for a while until they become independent and spread in the area finding their own homes.

I think this is just a common garden spider holding its offspring, waiting for the day when they all appear.

And this is what you see when they finally appear.
