Today everything is coated in plastic: even my collection of paper clips, but at least it makes them look colourful.

And this is an example of how to reduce the use of plastic in the household. Being a Brit I do like my tea, but I mean real tea, from the bush and I am fussy about it. I like the Darjeeling brand. However, today you mainly only get your tea packed in little bags and it is mostle Ceylon tea which I am not a fan of. It is not the same, and I stopped drinking it. Why? because you are not just getting tea in the bags, but small parricules of plastic. It is not dangerous it seems, but somehow they get into the production of the tea bags. I buy my tea in a small shop in our local town, and they have various types, so I choose my Darleeling, from a first flush, meaning the first harvest from the bush. It might sound a bit fussy, but I am surrounded by enough plastic and do not want it in my tea.

Who knows what is going to destroy humanity first? Will it be climate change of the accumulation of microplastics in our bodies?

Everyone seems to be aware of climate change, but the plastic problem does not seem to be so known.
