We have an infinite collection of records and CD’s at home. My autistic son is a specialist on modern pop musik, buying monthly his CD. Mr. Swiss is a modern jazz specialist and I have his collection of over a thousand jazz records. I also have my own selectrion of music, something of everything. I like classical music, jazz, rock and pop and a few strange music tastes. I have some music fom the arabien countries, as well as a few records from the Red Army Choir, another of my favourites. This is not to forget Paolo Conte, my favourite singer from Italy, our music tastes are really infinite. What more can I say.
I suppose waiting for the train is a great trial on your patience. You always want to get their early enough in case you miss the train, the problem being that you afterwards have to wait until it arrives and hope that it is on time. Of course in Switzerland with our perfection, everything is on time, except when there is a problem on the track, or the weather disturbs, or there is an accident etc. etc., you know what I mean. Ther result is always a wait which needs patience.
This morning I would have needed patience as I was behind in my routine, although at the age of 77 I go nowhere, and have no appointments, so what is the problem. Lucia arrived this morning and this time she had had no cleaning to do, it was my day of podology. Yes Lucia is a qualified foot specialist and once a month she looks after my feet, although I am a bit late this month. However she arrived with all her tools and put my feet in a nice bowl of warm water. Then she began to scrap, peel, cut and care for my feet. She does it perfectly and after a couple of hours my feet were again feet and not clumps of skin and nails.
That was the first task and when she was finished and left, the other tasks arrived. I had not been able to do my daily cleaning, so I began: going through the appartmet removing yesterdays problems. When that was dealt with I had my weekly delivery of fresh bread from the local baker to freeze, and whilst I was in the cellar I started my washing another chore for today. Whilst the washing was progressing I was back in the appartment and decided it was time to make something for a quick lunch: no problem, and my frozen mini pizza was soon thawing and cooking in my newly acquired air fryer. I sat down to my meal and when that was finished was again in the washing room to hang up the washing.
According to my itinerary I was a little late, but who cares, late for what? I then progressed to the bedroom, actuially the bathroom to clean my teeth and then prepared for my midday sleep. Admittedly I was about an hour later then usual, but who cares. My bed was waiting and after a refreshing sleep of 1-2 hours I was back in action. Action was nothing particular actually. Treated myself to my afternoon yogurt and decided to listen to some music on my newly acquired radio-CD player. Actually that it easier said than done. It still takes me a time to realise how this CD player works. It is more luck than judgement when the CD begins to play. Today I had some luck after half an hour and have just finished listening to some Mozart. Now I am blogging and afterwards will begin to think about cooking the evening meal for me and my No. 1 son
As said I just need patience, although that word no longer actually exists for me. I do one thing after another. I no longer go places and do things that are urgent.
I am Ahmed Abdi, a Wordpress blogger and storyteller who searches for stories that inspire people. I love writing because it’s a reflection of how I perceive the world around me. Lost in a world of endless chaos in my childhood, Unforgettable moments of tragedy and triumphs taught me the art of storytelling where I found myself through letter writing and then turned into stories but then sadly had lost everything I wrote for years. In 2018, I decided to create a Wordpress blog site that would allow me to store and retrieve every piece. Stories from my community, city and people are what make my writing so interesting and inspiring! I’m a tea lover so a cup of tea sometimes makes my blog.
