Today was the day to sort the relationship of the keys to the doors. Our locks in our appartment block had to be replaced and thus the keys, The locksmiths arrived this morning and began their work. They were efficient and soon had the main locks replaced with the new locks and we got our new keys, although for a 79 year old lady like myself, it was a little confursing.

First of all I had to sort out who had keys and who needed to have them replaced I had 5 keys belonging to my sons, myself and a few necessary extras. I collected the old keys and made a detailed list of who gets the new key It sounds easy, and it is, although it was a job of organisation. I have one key in a special locked box in my postbox to be used for my helpers when they visit due to my mobility poblems. which has a special code to release it. However, the locksmiths helped to organise it.

The main keys and new locks were fitted this morning and now in the afternoon they are doing the remainder, mainly our post boxes. At the moment I cannot access my daily post, but no great problem. In the afternoon it will be organised and I probably only get bills to pay, so why rush.

I am glad the work is now done. I often think my daily work is mainly organisation of such affairs, a real office job.
