RDP Tuesday: Optimism

Optimism is really something I need at the moment. My illness is no longer under control as it was. MS can be very upredictable, and it is a matter of adjusting your daily living conditions. However, I do not want to go on about this, I am not alone with this problem, and we all have to conquer our trials.

Today my houshold angel was here who helps me with various household tasks. Frist of all she managed to repair my kitchen drawers which had lost a few screws and were no longer so stable. With her usual talent, she found the necessary screws removed the drawers and began her maintentenance work. She has a talent for such work, and within an hour I again had a pefect result with everything working perfectly again. I must say the drawers were 30 years old, but they are now as perfect as the day when we moved into our appartment. I am so glad.

An then we moved onto the living room. For some time I was not so happy, especially as the Winter is now here, and me living room was a little depressing. However, there was a solution and together with Lucia we reorganised the room.. I had various alterations in the living room that I no longer used. Together we deided to raise the blinds, which were casting a dim light into the room and again organised the curtain stripes. Mr. Swiss and I had bought these some years ago but for some stupid reason I stopped using them. We have now organised them and I must say the room does look much better, more light during the day and in the evening I can just close them if necessary. Everything is in perfet working order.

I am so pleased with the result. It is the same furniture, but with the curtain strips now activated again, it makes a good differrence. at least I think so.

I live alone since a few years, Mr Swiss in his golden oldie home, and my son works during the day. It certainly has improved my living space. Life is fairly boring or me and I appreciate every improvement. Sometimes you just need a new idea. Shake yourself and look at the world surrounding you.

    • She is a wonder woman, so gifted with repair jobs. I have often told her that her talents are waisted, Bascially she is a cleaning lady, although she has so many talents that is only a side line. She is just perfect. Next week she is taking me to my doctor’s surgery, and a week later she will be taking me for my Christmas grocery shopping.
