I am overwhelmed with apples this year, so many and my son and I could never manage to eat them all. I can collect them and store them until we have eaten them, but for me too much work and my son does not really want to spend time in the garden collecting apples. I managed to fill two bags. My neighbour actually said he would collect them as they are good apples for cooking, or even eating. However, that was a week ago and the apples are still on the tree. Actually the ones that have survived up to now, but a few have now fallen by the wayside and I am not really keen to bend and collect them. It looks like son No. 1 will have to deal with that. Nature is full of incicents it seems.
