It was a very cold, misty, dull afternoon, but after a week of photography famine I was determined to go somewhere with my camera. I decided on my section of the village which is South of the main road. I did not know what I was looking for, but taking photos in the mist can also be challenging. They are building again in our village and I had a choice of two cranes. As I looked up to this crane I decided this would be the one, so here it is. It is a large building site and will probably be a collection of apartments eventually.
The farmer is preparing his field in late Winter with the hope of crops later in the year. Optimism is a necessary quality for farmers.
I saw these primroses today in the local store and I now realise that Spring must be on its way.
My No. 1 son works in a factory and his boss has a pet cockatoo, called Otto. He brings it to work every day and it likes to see the world from above, perched on a shoulder. It did not seem to bother my son very much.
This sort of frost seems to have become a thing of the past. This year since December we have one day of snow that thawed away the next day. Even the meadows are losing their white layer early in the morning.
