Feldbrunnen to Langendorf 11.01 (17)

I pass this house on the way to a nearby village. It is on our main road to Solothurn in Switzerland, our nearest town. I remember when it once belonged to a family, but the family grew old and the house was sold. There is now a business in the house and the house was painted – burnt orange I hope.I took the photo last week. The original thing about this house is the garden. After the new occupants took over they had the garden redesigned.

You cannot see it very well as everything is covered in snow at the moment, but the plants in the garden, being supported by wooden poles, are grapevines. In summer they have grapes and perhaps the new owner of the house now  produces his own wine.

I know I like to use my photos to be realistic, but please do not run away with the idea that I set fire to the grass on my lawn to prove how genuine my photos can be.

It was a couple of years ago in my days as a first aid worker for the village group. Actually my main job was accountant, as I was the only one in the group of golden oldies and other women, that knew what a computer could do, especially Excel and so I did the accounts.

These days are now gone, but I also acted on the various exercises we did. One of them was in the village having a practice saving and rescuing people from burning buildings. The building was not burning, but those big sturdy firemen lit a few fires outside to show how it is and  I was there with the camera. I was also responsible for our web site which I developed from the beginning and a few flaming photos are always good. Anyhow here is one of my works of art, although I must admit I cropped the original. Not wanting to hide our wonderful firemen, here it is.
