Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Week 1 Photo – geometry, bushes, window, brick, etc

Chantier Solothurn (3)

Sometimes you can have too much to choose from. Here are the bushes and the geometric design of the stairs and trellis in a park in the local town of Solothurn, Switzerland.

Curtain

I used to have a curtain, before we changed it to the modern stripy stuff. It seems we had some spectators looking through the curtains.

Solothurn 08.07 (3)

I happened to take a photo of this house a couple of days ago on one of my famous wheelies in my chair. This also seems to cover a bit of brick, a bit of red and a bit of wall, and there are even a few bushes growing. No curtains, we tend to have blinds, but there are windows. 🙂

Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Diagonal Line(s)

Untitled

We are in the middle of the flight paths of Zürich and Geneva airports, so we have continuous diagonal lines in the sky above.

Crops 27.05 (1)

Even the barley grows diagonal, I watched this field grow from the beginning.

Shadows

And here are some diagonal shadows thrown by the sun’s reflection on my curtain strips

Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Flags or Banners

Renovation 16.07 (2)

A year ago our building looked liked this. It was being renovated and full of banners for the companies doing the work.

1st August flags

These are the street decorations for 1st August, our national Swiss day. On the left our Kanton flag for Solothurn and on the right the flag for our village Feldbrunnen. In the middle the Swiss flag.

Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Books or Paper

Illustrated Music Book, Castle Waldegg, Feldbrunnen

This book was in an exhibition at our local castle, from the good old days where everyone spoke latin.

Looking for a book to read? Then visit our local town of Solothurn in Switzerland. They have a selection for anyone to borrow on the banks of the river in a bookcase. You can also leave your own books there that are no longer needed for the others to read.

tabby

Ask the cat at our place before you want to read the newspaper. She might be reading it herself.
