Was a little inspired by the wonderful Japanese Maple that Cee had today, I decided to take a couple of photos of mine. I planted it myself from a young tree about 25 years ago and just left it to do its own thing and this year it has again returned with a wonderful show of leaves.

They do not seem to have flowers, but not so important. Their foliage is enough.

I just have to concentrate on perrenniels with plants that arrive every year as I am no longer as active as I was.

Our Japanese maple is the ONLY tree that has leaves, at least on our property. It is always the first to get its leaves and the last to lose them in the fall. It’s a perfect tree. You have the one with the red leaves. I wish I had one like your. Ours is green until it turns scarlet in the fall.

I got mine when we moved in to our appartment and it has a been a faithful tree since, The only problem I have is in Autumn when it begins to lose its leaves and it is quite a mess.
