This grows in my garden annually, same place, same time. Ir all started about five years ago. I noticed that it had quite a strong garlic smell. I have no idea where it came from, but grow from a bulb and I did not plant it. Somehow a seed must have found its way in the garden.

Gee, this is one that I am unfamiliar with.

I have no idea where it originated. My neighbour’s wife is Indonesian and they plant Asian food. I suspect it came from their garden. Originally from a seed that formed a bulb.

Although I am unfamiliar with it, I know that other related genera self sow easily enough to naturalize. Common chive sometimes does that, without becoming too invasive. It is nice if they happen to grow where they are assets to the garden.
