Its raining again, but no problem. The slugs are probably getting ready for their next journey to the muddy surroundings of my freshly growing mint plants, but who cares. I now have the ideal solution. A large metal ring to put over the plants as a barrier to keep them out Slugs apparently do not like to climb over metal and stay outside of the barrier. Who knows, but I now have two of these metal rings so I will now see what will happen. Either there will be about 50 hungry slugs all waiting for an opporunity to get to the food, my plants will again be full of half eaten leaves.

I know. but I can hope. This year is a particularly heavy slug year – they are everywhere.

And then again, mint goes everywhere. It’s an invasive weed in my garden.

I am not sure. They are difficult to handle when sober, but after a drink they might get lively
