Living in a village with 1,000 population everything is in the vicinity. Even Mr. Swiss is not so far away. I took this photo from his room at the golden oldie home, of our estate. I once timed my travel from home to where he is with my scooter, just six minutes. Today I went to town, ten minutes on my scooter and that makes a top speed of 11 kmh.I do not have a car and very rarely go anywhere further than my own area. Age has caught up with me and I am no longer as mobile as I was. Vicinity has now become my world.

I like it here as well, although other places on Switzerland are also quite good,

I’m really enjoying the vicinity lifestyle, but I’m trying to stay flexible as there are many things outside that vicinity to be enjoyed.
