My typing life began with a manual machine. Electric typewriters were few and far between and usually reserved for the chief secretaries. Today even the electric typewriters are a thing of the past. I remember this nice red IBM machine. This one was in a useum in our local town – a museum? Yes a thing of the past. How proud we were to write on such a machine. That happened to the typewriters? They have all been replaced by the computer of course.

These days, typewriters are mostly found in notary offices in my city.

Oh god I loved that typewriter. I had one in my office and was so grateful that I had it to use to type up my masters thesis.
