FOWC with Fandango: Perfume

I took the photo at least 15 years ago of the inside of the bathroom cupboard and if I took a new photo today it would look exactly the same. In the days gone bye when I would visit my family in London once a year it was custom to buy duty free perfume at the airport.

They had a great selection of well known expensive brands of perfume in boxes much cheaper as you did not have to pay customs duty on the and so I made the most of it. You felt good having such an exclusive selection, but did I even wear and of it: very rarely I must admit.

And so my perfume bottles remain more or less untouched at home, probably as something that future generations can inherit, or perhaps they will have no interest.

  1. My favorite perfume is/was White Shoulders. I still have a bottle with a wee bit left sitting on a chest. I refuse to use it up. I just like seeing it there. For many years it did its magic. 😉

  2. The one perfume bottle I received from my late mother-in-law on my wedding, stayed in my closet for more than 14 years. I used it inky for special occasions and felt very sad when the bottle emptied.
