
They are gradually getting there. Just a few more centimeters and their yellow heads might begin to crawl out of the leafy clusters and then, yes then, we will, might have Spring. At the moment the snow is still here, but I hope not much longer.

Exactly. It is now very cold, daily temperatures of -1 and -2°C. I hope they survive.

They are impressively resilient, and I have only very rarely seen them damaged by frost (in another climate), but have never seen their response to your sort of weather. (I thought that -2 degrees much colder than it actually is until I translated it to Fahrenheit. Of course, it is still very cold.)

We had a very mild Winter. This week the Winter has returned with minus temperatures – even too cold to snow. I hope the daffodils manage to survive.

In theory, they will “resprout” if they freeze. We still haven’t gotten any serious cold OR any snow, though other places have gotten a lot of snow. It has just missed us. NOTHING is growing except my orchids and they are far from blooming. Sending up lots of shoots, though.
