FOWC with Fandango: Shattered

I was quite shattred in more than one way when I managed to shatter the bone in my left arm after a fall. The ambulance team arrived and their first question was how is the pain on a scale from one to ten. I asked them if I could add a little to it, like 10-20. However, about a week later with some 20 screws in the bones to keep it together they released me from the hospital. This was approximately 10 years ago and my arm is still in one piece, thanks to the engineering work they did. I still feel a slight twinge when I have to use my left arm for lifting heavy goods, but it is still in one piece thanks to the screws.

RDP Wednesday: Boggle

On one of my visits to my dentist I was waiting to visit the drill and other insruments in the torture chamber when I noticed this clock on the wall. Of course, it would be a mystery to most here, and probably any non Swiss visitors but it tells you the exact time. Yes we Swiss are talented in developing time pieces. The words “Viertu vor Drü” are Swiss German. In high German it would be “Viertel vor Drei” and in English “A quarter to three”. And that is really a mind boggling task. Good that I speak all three languages. In any case it helped to relieve my mind whilst visiting the dentist.
