I first saw then on the last day of the old year, but now in January they are in full flower: unbelievable, generally now everything would be covered in snow and ice, but not this year. The climate is really getting warmer, or perhaps it is just a freak of nature.
FOTD 7th January 2023: Snowdrops
Mine bulbs aren’t even close to coming up yet. I bet is a nice treat to see flowers in January 😀

We had a very mild Winter, almost too mild. My daffodils are also progressing well.

No, it’s warmer. It’s much warmer here. It’s winter, but it’s not winter like it was even 5 years ago.

We had some snow in November but now it seems we have the monsoon season. Today it only rained once, but didn’t stop.

We have gotten huge rains. It rained every day last week and will probably rain most of the coming week. We have about an hour of snow on Friday which didn’t stick because it was too warm. Summer was VERY hot — much hotter than usual and much drier. Winter has been warming and wetter with no snow. Of course, it might yet decide to pile on some snow in February and March, but quietly, not on camera, the meteorologists are wondering how Boston, which is at sea level and depends on a lot of landfill to stay above sea level will deal with rising oceans (it is already rising) … and what will happen to our wildlife.
If it isn’t climate change, it’s doing a damned good imitation of climate change.
