Mine seem to be coming back. This is a delicate time. Those shoots could become flowers or die and drop off. It’s waiting time now.

It’s freezing and snowing outside, but my orchids still do their own thing.

There’s just a fragile period when new shoots are up but aren’t budding yet. Mostly, I have to be very careful about watering. At least I’ve finally got them all in proper pots. They were blooming for such a long time, I could repot anything until they finished and it took months. Once they get to blooming, they are amazing — but this isn’t blooming. It’s potential blooming.

They can be very fragile with the new shoots. I have mine in good pots and don’t often repot them.

Mine were in weird little tight plastic containers that were hidden inside bigger pots. That apparently forced them to bloom, but if I hadn’t repotted them, they’d have died. I lost a couple anyway, but managed to salvage the rest.
