This skeleton is the remains of my buddlieia. No longer does it have its lovely pink flowers, being regularly visited by the butterflies, the leaves have gone and the deal flowers. My gardener did the necessary and now it is waiting until next year when it will sprout again with its green leaves and buds. At least the remains of the Caucasus forget-me-nots.

I do hate when the flowers die an all that’s left are the “bones.” Nice to know they will come back, though.

We have to keep order in the garden otherwise there is always someone ready to complain and our plants quickly suffer during the cold Winters.

Sadly, our garden has been killed by the huge strangling weeds. They are way beyond our ability to control them. It takes a professional and a lot of time, too. But the potted flowers do find and we do enjoy them.

Ah, dormant pruning! It starts earlier there than here, but it will eventually happen here as well.

I just told the gardener to get the garden ready for winter and to cut back the buddleia as every year
