The remains of the roses. Mr. Swiss asked me what they were. It was all that was left of the rose tree in his golden oldie home.FOTD 17th October 2022: Rose Hips

FOWC with Fandango: Ignore
The neighbour’s cat Joux-joux ignored me today. He was more interested in the events taking place in the bird feeder. I must say she really had patience and was sitting in the same place at least an hour, waiting for the chance to pounce. Eventually she gave up and moved onto the next garden.FOWC with Fandango: Ignore
RDP Monday: Wallpaper
Wallpaper seems to be a thing of the past. I remember in my childhood days in London, my dad would put new wallpaper on the walls every 2-3 years: the brighter the better. Mum loved colourful designs. I remember when dad did it. The wallpaper was in rolls and putting on the wall was not so easy. You had to match the patterns on the wall.
I remember so well this work of art. Mum loved it and even my cat seemed to like it. Dad even painted the furniture to match the colours, but that was England.
In Switzerland we tend to keep things organised: no actual wall paper, just paint the walls in a light colour, shades of white or cream: but I did love our kitchen with its red roses.RDP Monday: Wallpaper
