RDP Monday: Wallpaper

Wallpaper seems to be a thing of the past. I remember in my childhood days in London, my dad would put new wallpaper on the walls every 2-3 years: the brighter the better. Mum loved colourful designs. I remember when dad did it. The wallpaper was in rolls and putting on the wall was not so easy. You had to match the patterns on the wall.

I remember so well this work of art. Mum loved it and even my cat seemed to like it. Dad even painted the furniture to match the colours, but that was England.

In Switzerland we tend to keep things organised: no actual wall paper, just paint the walls in a light colour, shades of white or cream: but I did love our kitchen with its red roses.
