This is the younger me, perhaps no so young, but in the office I was not an apprentice. I was a fully qualified export clerk. However now I am at home and yes, again an apprentice. I deal with all the payments, generally by phone, but also on the computer. Now various Insurances are to be dealt with. Another new game is organising income tax rebates for our various problems. Today I was at the village midday lunch organised for the Golden Oldies that live here. It was really enjoyable and I had the opportunity to have a discussion with the village president/boss or whatever. The result was that I afterwards made a stop at the village government office and have more complicated forms to complete for extras which we might be entitled to. Yes, I am again an apprentice, but it is never too late to learn. I would add that in my work I was in charge of the apprentices in our department but they were youngsters and I am now 75 years old.

Good pic and you had a nice bright workspace with a view which is always a good thing.

Although I probably didn’t always appreciate the view.

That is true. Even in my age I have things still to learn.

I’m glad my work involved extensive computer use because, like you, I’ve found a computer is a big help for maneuvering through the needs of retirement. My older siblings didn’t learn how to use them and had to rely on their adult kids and grandkids to do many tasks easiest dome online!

My whole working life was with a computer and I I have continued to develop my possibilities. I even completed a web course to make my own web sites, although it is just the html language that I sometimes use.
