The word “outlet” was something I never really noticed in my British days. However, it has now sneaked its way into the continental style of life and when used it is generally in connection with clothing stores. It is used to describe the store when the unwanted, out of fashion goods, are sold at cheap prices. Many clothing stores might have a department, even a second store, known as their “outlet” where you might be able to find a bargain. I am sure this word is now included in the German Dictionary.
