A strange photo you are thinking, but it has a reason. In between my garden bin and the wall a spider decided to spin its web. It is still there, but is not easy to see.

And here is the spider. This morning it was busy repairing its web ready for its next victims. I am not sure if this is a dangerous spider or not, but probably harmless. We do not get problem spiders usually in our gardens. They live in the mountains or forests. I just know that it is really big, OK for a photo but not to touch.
The problem was that as you can see the garden hose connections are immediately behind the web, meaning I would have to put my hand through the web to disengage the hose and this was not something I wanted to do. I did not want to attempt to remove the spider and luckily my neighbour was in his garden on the other side. I told him of my problem and he could remove my hose from his side of our hedge and drop it on the ground where I could take it, I will not be needing my hose until next year again as the weather is no longer so dry and hot.

They love to weave their webs across the paths many times I have walked through them feeling iky and sticky , afterward and hoping they were not on me

If they stay outside they don’t bother me. I don’t like the mess they make indoors with their webs in corners and on the ceiling.
